NETWORKED FIRST AID KIT

FLAWA HEALTH 2018

Every Swiss business is required to carry a first aid kit for immediate and on-the-spot medical treatment of injured people. In an emergency, such a kit can be the difference between life and death. Flawa IQ is the one stop shop for all the basic emergency needs: The intelligently networked case guides the aid provider, automatically provides material supplies and makes maintenance work virtually disappear. Flawa benefits from strong customer loyalty and predictable revenue streams thanks to the innovative service business model.

FLAWA IQ BRINGS PEACE OF MIND, THAT EVERYTHING IS THERE IN CASE OF EMERGENCY.

"The market loves our product: In the first year alone, several hundred systems are already in operation at well-known companies."

CHALLENGE

SECURITY – RETHOUGHT

Flawa approached us with an inventive idea: A fully equipped, intelligent first aid kit should not only relieve those providing assistance in an emergency, but also manage its own inventory and notify the system as soon as any equipment needs to be reordered. There was nothing comparable on the market. The biggest challenge was the technological validation: Is the idea even feasible? Can we make the kit communicate intelligently with the system and report material consumption correctly?

PROOF OF CONCEPT

Together with Flawa, we developed the proof of concept in only two months. We succeeded in the technical validation: We had great success with the Lora WAN transmission technology and implemented it. Over time, Narrowband IOT also became available in Switzerland, and by the time we launched our final product, we had already successfully migrated from Lora WAN to Narrowband IOT.

MVP

We developed the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) also in just two months: The suitcase was thereby equipped with sensors, which were networked with the system and could communicate with it. The system could be controlled via a simplified, rudimentary frontend.

FEATURES

• Help and relief: Step-by-step instructions for helpers to timely ensure that the patient receives the right help.
• Order and clarity: boxes within the case are organized by type of injury for clarity.
• Automatic ordering: The kit is digitally connected. As soon as material is removed, the intelligent system automatically reorders so that the supply is replenished as quickly as possible.
• Expiration date handling: The kit not only stores data about upcoming expiration dates, but also automatically sends new products as soon as one expires.
• Optional alarm function: In emergency situations, first responders are alerted immediately, significantly reducing response time.
• Everything under control: the iQ Portal for case monitoring provides valuable information such as consumer statistics, stock levels, expiring products, etc.
