With the announcement of the new premiums, we went live with the online applications of supplementary insurances - and after just a few minutes we were able to report the first purchases. This clearly shows that a simple and intuitive process is being used by customers.

CHALLENGE and GOALS

Digitalizing Supplementary Insurance Applications

Before expanding the existing solution, supplementary insurances (VVG) were only available as offers which was a limitation in the online sales channel. The project aimed to overcome this limitation by expanding the calculator’s functionality while digitalizing the entire application process end-to-end. Key objectives included reducing manual effort, and delivering an intuitive, self-service platform for clients to not only calculate premiums but to complete and hand-in their VVG applications independently.

SOLUTION

Seamlessly integrated

Leveraging our industry expertise, we enhanced SWICA’s premium calculator to support supplementary insurance products and enable a fully digitalized application process with seamless backend integration. The cornerstone of the solution is the TRIAS integration, enabling clients to complete the health questionnaire completely online. The completed applications are automatically transferred to the customer administration system, minimising the workload for back-office staff.
